PROMOTING INCLUSION IN INTERGENARATION DANCE- IMPROVING THE COMPETENCES OF EDUCATORS
ROUND TABLE WORKSHOP
Purpose of the workshop
The Round Table Workshop aimed at creating a discussion and exchange environment among practitioners in education/training sector in the field of intergenerational dance and social inclusion. It also aimed at contributing to the skills of education practitioners in using dance as a method for social inclusion of elder people.
The target group of the workshop was young education practitioners. The participants background ranged from professional dance teachers, trainers at NGOs to psychologist and physiotherapists working with elderly people.
The workshop took place in a music studio where musical instruments were present.
Activity details
The workshop started at 10:00 am with an introduction of the project and its purpose. The activity coordinator informed the participants about the purpose of the event and went through the agenda items.
Following the introduction of the agenda, each participant were asked to introduce themselves in the following order:
- Name/surname
- Educational background
- Experience in intergenerational dance for social inclusion
The participants had a varying background in term of education and experience which enabled a rich environment for sharing experience. Additionally, the variety of experiences created a room for further cooperation between participants in the field of dance for social inclusion.
